NCT: Bear's Mouth Bridge installation

The North Country Trail will be installing a 48-foot Bridge over Bear Creek near Parker, PA. Many North Country volunteers helped install a bridge on the Baker Trail in January. Let's reciprocate by helping them on April 21 & 22. This is a large project and many volunteers will be needed to aid in carrying pre-fabricated bridge parts to the work site along with scaffolding and tools on Saturday and carrying out tools and scaffolding Sunday. Consider giving a couple of hours. It will be an arch shaped design. The Mourer’s are offering to let anyone camp at their house near Chicora. They live in a rural setting and will have a campfire, refreshments and social time on Saturday evening. Directions to Jackson Street Trailhead: Take rt. 268 to Parker, PA. Turn to the east onto Jackson Avenue; at the brown stone church. Follow Jackson Street back past the road-closed signs to the trailhead. Do not block the green gate.
