Trail Work in North Park

Join us on Saturday, September 18th in North Park

On Saturday, September 18, we will start work at a new location in North Park and use the rock we mined last weekend to address wet areas as well as cover a black, plastic pipe with rock to restore a natural look.  This work will take place adjacent to Beveridge Shelter in North Park.  Many will find the rock work an interesting change from our regular trail work. Details are as follows:

  • Timeframe: Saturday, September 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (not 2:00 p.m.as previously listed)
  • Location: Beveridge Shelter in North Park. Click here for directions
  • Scope of work: reset a plastic pipe to sit lower, cover the pipe in rocks. Rock armor a wet section of trail.

While no advanced sign up or registration is required, we recommend sending an email to bobmulshine@hotmail.com to indicate your attendance. This will help us to better prepare for the event.

COVID / Safety:
There will be plenty of opportunity to keep distance between the volunteers. We expect everyone to use their own judgement on how to stay safe. We recommend good boots that can keep you steady while moving on uneven surfaces. Bring work gloves. Bring food and drink. We will be working through the traditional lunch hour so plan to stop, eat, drink and rest during the work session.
