If you are willing to bring shovels, rakes, hoes, or pick axes: that would be great! Also bring your own water bottles for refills to reduce waste. Food and beverages will be provided at the conclusion. (Work will finish promptly to ensure no one misses the Pens game 6 if necessary)
Below are some of the activities we will be working on:
- Clean-up & minor maintenance of the existing trail and woods adjacent to the trail
- Installation of a sign which will commemorate the historic Harmony Main Transit Line
- Development of an additional trail which will be used to connect the Harmony Trail to the North Park section of the Rachel Carson Trail
If you are uncomfortable with manual labor, consider stopping by to see the installation of the new sign and just to say “hi.”
The Harmony Trail begins across from the intersection of Brennan Rd and Route 910 in Wexford, PA. There is a gravel lot for parking. Link to directions
