Info Session: The Baker Trail UltraChallenge 50-miler

You will leave this session with all you need to know about the Baker Trail UltraChallenge.

This year's Baker Trail UltraChallenge 50-miler will take place on Saturday, August 26th at 6:30 a.m.  The finish line is at the United Methodist Church in Brookville, PA.

Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy and Stick City Brewing are co-hosting an informational session on Thursday, May 11, at 7:00 p.m. at Public Lands, Cranberry.   The session will be lead by Amy Nelson, who is a past participant of this race, an RCTC Board Member as well as a seasoned ultra runner. Joining Amy is Baker Ultra Race Director, Steve Mentzer, who serves as the Vice President of Rachel Carson Trails Conservancy and can answer any and every possible question about the race.

Public Lands, a proud sponsor of RCTC, will raffle off a FREE ENTRY to the 50-mile event to a woman during this session!  To learn more about our efforts to increase female participation in this historically male-dominated race, see: Courage is Contagious: Women and UltraRunning

While enjoying an adult beverage from Stick City Brewing you will learn the finer details of this year's race course, training runs, what to expect in the way of aid stations, volunteer opportunities and why this race is perfect for those wishing to tackle a 50-miler for the first time. And rest assured: there will be ample time for questions and answers.

This event is free and open to the public.
