Ridge Road trail relocation work day 1

We are working on Phase II of the relocation of the Rachel Carson Trail off of Ridge Road, which will complete the off-road link between Bull Creek Road and Burtner Road.

Today we'll be clearing through often dense undergrowth to build the trail through this section. Work will entail cutting back the brush, removing small trees/logs (we'll follow up with a chainsaw to get the bigger stuff) and clearing the treadway of debris. Bring loppers/clippers, bow/folding saw, and gloves (tools and gloves available if you don't have them), and water and snacks for yourself.

Weather conditions this time of year may make the task too difficult, so please check this page prior to departing in case the work day is cancelled.
