No shortage of trail work

Volunteers continue to dedicate time and energy to improving our trails.

This spring, we tackled several reroutes on the Rachel Carson Trail, removing road and increasing trail segments. Some key pieces of work include:

  • Moving a segment on Riddle Run (near Agan Park) off the road and onto trail.
  • Ridge Road reroute: the off-road link between Bull Creek Road and Burtner Road is now complete.
  • Murray Hill reroute: an in-progress effort to move a road segment onto newly acquired land.

We rely 100% on volunteers to accomplish this important work and we are grateful for their ongoing participation and dedication. The next volunteer trail workday is the Crouse Run Trail Rehab on Saturday, May 23.  This workday will include  a short reroute of the trail where the creek has eroded the hillside beneath the trail.
