Less Heat, More Finishers

Unlike last year, the weather this year was more typical, with afternoon highs in the upper 80s and morning lows in the mid 60s, or about 10 degrees cooler. That made a huge difference in performance and our finishing rates moved back toward the norm.

We had 632 start the Full Challenge in Harrison Hills Park, with 423 or 67% finishing within the time limit.

At the 10 AM Homestead Challenge, we had 299 start and 189 (63%) finished within the time limit. An additional 82 finished after the time limit, making the overall finish rate 91%.

We had 50 groups start the Friends & Family Challenge at Hartwood Acres, all of which reached the North Park finish.
